Rolling Meadows is a town in Northern Illinois that is located in the northwest corner of Cook County and is about 24 miles northwest of the Chicago Loop. Rolling Meadows is part of the Chicago metropolitan area and part of the Cook County Court System.

The first landowner arrived in what is now Rolling Meadows in 1936 when he claimed 160 acres of land in the area known as Plum Grove. Shortly after, several more families arrived from Vermont. They built a dam across Salt Creek and claimed the entire Plum Grove area. The area became part of Palatine Township. By 1850 German immigrants arrived and an Evangelical Church was built at the corner of what is now Kirchoff and Plum Grove Roads.

By 1827, H.D. Brown purchased 1000 acres so that he can build a golf course and a race track. He sold the land that had been intended for a golf course to Kimball Hill by 1950. By 1853, the first families began moving into the Kimball Hill development. The development was named Rolling Meadows and 700 homes were sold by 1955. Kimball Hill donated $200 per home sold so that a school system could be built for the residents of Rolling Meadows. By 1955, Rolling Meadows was incorporated as a city. Rolling Meadows began a boom in the 1950s and 1960s as new businesses started moving into the area. The largest department store in the area was opened in 1957. The store closed in 1994. In 1958 a large Industrial Park was opened in the area employing over 1,500 workers. Apartment buildings sprung up and by 1970, 35% of the structures in Rolling Meadows were multifamily dwellings. By 2000, Helene Curtis and Charles Industries established a presence in Rolling Meadows making it an intricate part of the Golden Corridor.

Rolling Meadows Bond Court is every weekday at 1:30 p.m. in Room 108 of the Rolling Meadows Courthouse. Rolling Meadows weekend and holiday Bond Hearings are held at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building at 26 and California at 1:30 p.m. in Room 100.
